Headteacher’s Welcome

September 2017

A very warm welcome to Preston Hedge’s Primary School’s website.

At Preston Hedge’s, our staff team, in partnership with our Governing Body and the Trust Board, strive to provide the very best opportunities and experiences for our children.

I am proud that we are an Outstanding school, as it recognises the hard work and commitment of our wonderful children, our talented team and our supportive parents.

To ensure we continue to provide an exceptional start for our children, we measure our pupil outcomes against those achieved by Outstanding schools’ nationally.

Pleasingly, our Year 6 outcomes in 2017 were exceptional, well above what is typically achieved by Outstanding Schools nationally.

Results are the outcome, not the starting point and our mantra is “Fun, Creativity and Achievement”

More than anything I want all our children to enjoy school and feel safe and happy at Preston Hedge’s.

It fills me with enormous pride when our older children say they are proud of their school.

As we edge towards the end of the academic year we are looking forward to lots of exciting projects on the horizon! we have already had Graffiti Stars in school to work with Year 6 and will work with Nissan and variety of other Artists in Residence in the remainder of 2017!  We have a two day Phase 3 project booked with Festive Road, to produce large DT based butterflies in October.

Exciting times!
