Curriculum
Our Curriculum is founded on Fun, Creativity & Achievement.
Curriculum Intention:
The aim of curriculum is as follows:
‘Fun’ to create happy confident learners; ‘Creativity’, to provide pupils with the very best curriculum experiences and foster imaginative, inventive learners; and ‘Achievement’ to fulfil each child’s academic potential and ensure the highest outcomes for pupils.
Curriculum Implementation:
We have our own curriculum based on this philosophy which is delivered in our three phases:
Phase 1 – Years R & 1
Phase 2 – Years 2 & 3
Phase 3 – Years 4, 5 & 6
Throughout our Phases of learning their is a deliberate focus on the Visual Arts to nurture, promote and celebrate creativity in order to give our pupils an edge for life, future learning and the best possible start to life.
Curriculum Impact:
We believe that the impact of our curriculum is demonstrated best by the well rounded pupils who attend our school and by the outcomes they achieve. To ensure we have the highest levels of achievement we measure our outcomes against those achieved by Outstanding Schools’ nationally. Our expectation is to be above this measure.
All of the above gives our children the very best start! Fun, Creativity and Achievement.
In this section of the website you will find information about each phase’s philosophy and aims, as well their curriculum and homework.
